ABOUT ME
Art has been the constant thread running through my life. Some of my earliest inspiration came from watching my siblings push themselves creatively, which sparked my own drive to become an artist. I grew up immersed in the bold imagination of 80s and 90s animated films like The Black Cauldron, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and AKIRA, alongside action-packed sci-fi classics like The Terminator, Conan the Barbarian, and Predator. Those worlds shaped my imagination early on.
I was deeply influenced by visionary artists like Jean Giraud (Moebius), whose surreal landscapes and expansive sci-fi worldbuilding left a lasting impression on me, and Frank Frazetta, whose dramatic oil paintings of gods, monsters, and warriors inspired my love for powerful composition, contrast, and storytelling. I’ve always believed that the ability to take something from your imagination and render it exactly as you see it is a kind of superpower—and I’ve spent my life chasing that ability.
After college, I chose a different path and joined the United States Army, serving five years of active duty as a combat medic, followed by four years in the National Guard. My time in service shaped me profoundly. Traveling to distant places in the world that seemed unreal, Experiencing both beauty and chaos, the excitement and adventure, to the terrifying intensity of war. That chapter in my life instilled discipline, a new resilience, and a deeper appreciation for life and human connection. Those experiences continue to influence the depth and intention I bring to my work.
Years later, while returning to school to study marine biology, I unexpectedly rediscovered my passion for art. Around that same time, I was introduced to tattooing—and everything clicked. What began as a rediscovery quickly became a calling. I realized tattooing was the perfect fusion of imagination, technical skill, and meaningful human connection.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself fully to growth as both an artist and tattooer. I study fundamentals daily—color theory, light and value, composition, form, texture, and perspective—often reverse engineering masterworks to deepen my understanding. Tattooing offers limitless growth, and I’m committed to pushing my ceiling higher every year. My goal is always to create work that is bold, intentional, and built to last.
When I’m not drawing or painting, you’ll usually find me outside—working in the garden, experimenting with natural building materials, forging metal, or dreaming up mad-scientist-esque inventions. Creativity is at the center of everything I do.
Next to spending time with my children, art and tattooing are my greatest passions. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to create meaningful, lasting work for the people who trust me with their stories.
